I RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in harvesting fruit. I agree to assume all such risks and hazards and bear all costs of medical attention. The following is a non-exclusive list of possible risks that could be encountered while fruit picking:Falling from a ladderBeing poked in the eye by a tree branchAllergic reaction (insect bites, stings, etc.)Having fruit or branches fall on your bodyFalling from a treeDamage to another person’s propertyI understand that this is a volunteer, community goodwill project and HEARBY REMISE, RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE Cowichan Green Community Society (CGC), its employees and advisory committee, of and from all manner of actions, causes of actions, claims and demands whatsoever in nature which I may have in respect to any injury, during my participation as a volunteer with the FruitSave fruit gleaning project. I also understand that, as a volunteer, I am representing Cowichan Green Community, and I will be mindful and respectful of the homeowner’s trees and property, and if I am a smoker, for reasons of fire-safety, pollution and CGC’s image, I will not smoke on donor property, regardless if permission is given for me to do so by the homeowner. *I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS*
